- The audio guide provides detailed information about each object and exhibit in the complex, enabling visitors to better understand the historical context and significance of each place.
- You can listen to the information at your own pace, stopping and repeating the audio recordings as needed.
- The audio guide will enable visitors to independently explore the museum exhibition halls, without being tied to group excursions.
- The audio guide supports several languages: Russian, Belarusian, Chinese and English, making them accessible to foreign visitors.
Rules for using the audio guide
Issuance of an audio guide
- The audio guide can be used in the exhibition halls of the state institution “State Memorial Complex “Khatyn”.
- The visitor pays for the audio guide service at the museum box office.
- The audio guide is issued to the visitor by the museum caretaker upon presentation of a receipt for the use of this service and an identity document.
- The start and end of the service are set in accordance with the museum’s operating hours.
- The cost of the service is determined according to the price list approved by the director of the museum.
- The fact of receiving an audio guide means that the visitor has learned the rules for using the audio guide and assumes further responsibility associated with its use, which is confirmed by a personal signature in the “Registration Log for the Provision of Services for Using the Audio Guide”.
Return of audio guide
- Upon return, the audio guide is inspected by a museum caretaker to ensure it is complete and free of damage (damage means: violation of the integrity and functionality of the audio guide, deep scratches, dents, cracks, mechanical damage, etc.).
- If there is damage received during the use of the audio guide, the visitor is obliged to pay the full cost of the damaged audio guide.
- If, during use by a visitor, the equipment becomes heavily soiled and its appearance changes, the visitor must take steps to return the equipment to its original condition.
Responsibilities of the parties
The museum bears responsibility:
- for providing the visitor with an audio guide in proper condition and in working order;
The museum is not responsible:
- for damage that may occur due to the fault of the visitor during the use of the audio guide;
The museum has the right:
- to refuse to provide this service to a visitor if there is no audio guide available, or if there is no document certifying the visitor’s identity;
- to go to court if the visitor refuses to compensate for the cost of damage caused.
The visitor is responsible:
- for damage, loss and theft of the audio guide in the amount of its full cost;
- for the safety of the audio guide (only the audio guide that was issued to the visitor will be accepted for return; identification is carried out by the audio guide number);
- for careful handling of the audio guide, compliance with the rules for its operation, compliance with safety regulations and its intended use.
