Similar events were previously held in all other regions. For example, the first capsule containing the message was ceremoniously handed over to Memorial Complex “Brest Hero Fortress”. Ceremonial events were also held in Mogilev, Vitebsk, Gomel, Minsk, and Grodno.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense, BRSM activists, and students from military-patriotic clubs and classes.
"This capsule contains more than just words on paper. This capsule contains the experience of our veterans, their love for their homeland, their experience of serving their country, and their faith that our beloved Belarus will continue to live, develop, and flourish under peaceful skies," noted Defense Ministry representative and senior officer of the Main Directorate of Ideological Work, Alexei Anashechkin, during the ceremonial rally at the Mound of Glory.
As part of the event, a ceremony was held to hand over a capsule containing a message from World War II veterans to memorial complex “the Mound of Glory”. This message will be opened on May 9, 2045, the centennial of the Great Victory.
"Today, on the sacred grounds of the Mound of Glory, we are witnessing the transfer of not just a time capsule, but living history. This message is not a cry from the past; it is an order to those who will build the future. I accept this time capsule on behalf of all who preserve the memory of the tragedy and the courage of the Belarusian people," noted Dmitry Viltovsky, Director of Memorial Complex “Khatyn”.
This capsule is a bridge between a great past and a bright future. We entrust history to those who come after us, believing that the lessons of our ancestors' heroism will live forever in the hearts of their descendants!
