Lukashevich Vasily – Chairman of the Central Board of the public association "Belarusian Society of Disabled People";
Tylks Igor – Deputy Chairman of Nizhny Novgorod Regional Branch of the "Union of Soviet Officers of Russia," Colonel of Justice;
Konovalov Sergey – Member of the Central Council of the International Union of Soviet Officers, Captain 1st Rank.
The ceremony began with the national anthems of Belarus and Russia, reinforcing the symbol of unity between the two countries. Participants laid flowers at the memorial, paying tribute to the heroes who fought for a peaceful sky.
"Who else but us should remind our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren — the rising generation — of the evil that befell our country 85 years ago? We must not allow such horrific events to happen again. It is our duty to explain the titanic effort required to achieve victory and peace on earth. And our primary task is to prevent the rewriting of history by those intent on reshaping it to suit their own ends," noted Vasily Lukashevich in his speech.
This marathon became not merely a memorable event, but living proof that the bond between our peoples is unbreakable. We remember!
